ATR Systems Celebrates 40th Anniversary, Serving More Than a Thousand Employers Across Tri-State Area
Bucks County’s ATR Systems celebrates its 40-year anniversary in 2013 as a regional time and labor management authority. Specializing in hardware and software, including web-based time and attendance systems, ATR Systems has come a long way as a small, family-run tech company.
ATR Systems was founded by Tom Hoover in 1973 in the basement of his Doylestown home. With two small children and the economy in a downturn in the midst of the Watergate scandal, Tom Hoover ventured into an industry that demanded synchronized time clocks. After graduating from Penn State and taking a sailing trip across the Atlantic, son Michael Hoover joined the company and over the last decade, has transformed the business from just time clocks to tightly integrated and automated solutions.
ATR Systems attributes its success to offering more than 1,000 employers across the nonprofit, educational, manufacturing, hospitality, municipal and healthcare industries, easy-to-use solutions with personalized customer service. With annual web-based sales up nearly 50 percent each year since 2008, ATR has had its eye on the future of the time and labor industry. By partnering with several payroll companies, staffing and accounting firms, as well with other industry partners, ATR continues to custom build the best solutions for its customers.
“We’d like to thank each and every one of our clients for their business,” said ATR Systems President Michael Hoover, who is the executive vice president of the national Independent Time & Labor Management Association (ITLMA). “Keeping track of employees’ attendance and productivity can be a stressful and time-consuming process. ATR Systems has taken great pride in making this easier by offering systems that seamlessly integrate with payroll and human resource processes. Not only can managers make more informed decisions through the information they receive, but can also pass efficiencies on to other areas of the business.”
New online trends have reinvented the way employers access critical personnel information on their employees. Just in time for its 40th anniversary, ATR Systems has launched Workforce One: HR, a powerful, multifaceted, web-based application that allows managers to streamline and automate HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance, in the same interface as their time and labor management software. New customers can receive a 40-day free trial on web-based solutions in the month of January.
